Alessandra Porfidia has been exhibiting since 1980 and since 2005 she has been working with the historic GALLERIA EDIEUROPA.

DEBUT
Her debut was in the Carmine Siniscalco Gallery, the Studio S Arte Contemporanea with which she created her first personal exhibition in 1989, in the monumental complex of Montecchio Vesponi (AR), presented by the internationally renowned critic, Lorenza Trucchi.
From 1986 to 1996 she was present in Rome at the Trident and A.R.G.A.M. exhibitions. In 1988 she was invited by the Municipality of Rome to exhibit in the spaces of the Foro Boario. Her works on this occasion were produced in collaboration with the Società delle Fucine di Terni / Tyssen Krupp Acciaierie di Terni. In 1989 she took part in the Festival dei Due Mondi in Spoleto.

PARTICIPATION AND AWARDS ABROAD
You have constantly exhibited abroad: at the Cairo Art Biennale (Egypt), editions of 1996, 2000 and 2008, where you presented the installation Territori Mediterranei. In 1998 she was present at the Osaka Triennale, Japan, where she was awarded the Suntory Prize with a museum acquisition of her work. In 1999 you had your first solo exhibition in the United States at the Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens Museum in Palm Beach. In 2000 you are present in various group exhibitions, including a group in Uzbekistan promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and by Carmine Siniscalco. In the same year you exhibited in France, in Antibes, with the exhibition Sculptures sous le soleil d’ Antibes and in 2001 and 2004 you exhibited in Montauban. In 2007 she is her in Germany, in Berlin and then in Munich at the ArtAmbassy Gallery. In 2011 she presented her work in Spain at the Xth International Sculpture Forum at the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao where she spoke about her artistic project Sustainable Imagination. In 2012 and 2013 she returned to France, to Paris, to the Amsellem Gallery. Between 2014 and 2015 you exhibited in Israel in Tel Aviv.

PARTICIPATION AND PUBLIC AWARDS ITALY
She has received numerous participations and public prizes in Italy: in 1995 she was awarded the Fiumara-ARGAM Prize for Sculpture; in 1996 with three important works from the Teatro del corpo cycle she exhibited at the XII Quadrennial d’Arte Last Generations: following her participation, some of her works were acquired by the Macro Museum in Rome. In 2000 you won the Rome Metro International Art Prize, creating a mosaic for the Numidio Quadrato station. Works by her are present in various public spaces, such as the Palace of Justice of Asti and Frosinone, the Civil Motorization of Rome, the Prison of Viterbo and the Faculty of Letters and Philosophy of Rome2.

ITALIAN PRIVATE GALLERIES
Between 2014 and 2015 you exhibited in Rome and Florence at the Palazzo Medici Riccardi, at the Versiliana di Pietrasanta, at the Carrara Marble Museum. In the period 2015-2016, with the Edieuropa Gallery you made three personal exhibitions: Spaces of Light between Art and Nature. A path of works in the exhibition spaces of three galleries: Edieuropa and Spazio Corso 400 in Rome. The third exhibition was held instead in Capalbio. You won the Bozzolo Prize with a diptych acquired from the collection of the Pinacoteca della Città. In 2022 you created the steel sculpture On Vacuum – Space around the Void, at the headquarters of the ASLRm1 Mind Laboratory Museum of Santa Maria della Pietà. The work placed in the gardens is the winning project of the PAC Contemporary Art Plan 2020 of the Ministry of Culture. Her exhibition catalogs boast presentations by internationally renowned critics.
